CHRISTOPHER GRIM
My design philosophy centers on the power of collaboration.
I believe that working together with fellow designers and teammates leads to a cohesive and unified end product, whether it's a show, a product for a client, or a conceptual design. Collaboration fosters mutual understanding and allows us to approach our work in a way that resonates with our audience.
To me, collaboration is closely tied to integrity. As an artist or designer, I understand the importance of bringing a unique skill set to the table and standing alone in my approach, while working with others towards a common goal. I believe that artistic ingenuity and innovation are essential components in standing out from the crowd.
Ultimately, my approach to design is grounded in the concept of necessity. I believe that design should serve a clear purpose and objective, and ask questions like: What is needed? What should be achieved? How can we, as artists, bring our skills to the table to accomplish these goals? By focusing on necessity, we can create works that stand out and evoke the intended response. This approach requires a deep understanding of collaboration, integrity, and innovation, which allows for intentional and brilliant ideas to emerge.
